Chocolate Pudding

It was just a hasty, chocolatey experiment since we were all craving chocolate on that day. It started out with me trying to imitate a recipe on one of my favorite cooking YouTube channels “How to Cook Smarter” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InaPcLHViNI) and then my mom gave me an idea. I used the chocolate and milk like in the video but my mom’s suggestion was to thicken it using cornstarch. So I basically applied the recipe in the video with a slight twist to it.
So without further ado, let’s get started!
Ingredients
- 200g culinary chocolate (or any other chocolate bar) preferably dark
- half a cup of milk
- 1-2 Tbsp cornstarch (1tbsp dissolves in 1/3 cup of milk and is then added to the chocolate mixture)
- a small cup of greek yogurt
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium high heat, put the chocolate pieces with milk and stir until chocolate dissolves.
- When it completely dissolves and starts to heat, add a tablespoon of cornstarch dissolved in a third cup of milk to the chocolate and stir well.
- Right before it boils, remove from heat and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
- Add a small cup of Greek yogurt and stir with a spatula until the yogurt has vanished in the chocolate mixture.
- Pour the mixture into ramekins or small bowls and put it in the fridge to set for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Enjoy your delicious chocolate pudding 🙂
